INTERNSHIP / WORK PLACEMENT

Social Worker internship, social and health organization.

LOCATION AND DURATION

Visbynkuja 2, 00930 Helsinki, (Itakeskus Metro).
From October 2020 to May 2021. 35hours/week.

REQUIREMENTS AND ABILITIES

  • able to gather information
  • ability to think creatively
  • good oral and written skills
  • good command of English, and Finnish
  • ability to think creatively
  • the criteria for obtaining the information
  • group work
  • degree in social and health care / student
  • experience in substance abuse and mental health work (optional)
  • customer orientation
  • language skills (Finnish, English, Somalian, Arabic other is a plus)
  • experience in operating  within an organization (optional)

ABOUT THE TEAM

We’re a small team at MPMTO ry, Immigrant substance abuse, and mental health problem Association, with staff working across engagement, project management, social assistance, and research. We’re all committed to MPMTO’s vision – to create a world where mental illness and substance abuse issues are understood, effectively treated and one day prevented. Our work is to help the Immigrant and foreign communities living in Helsinki. 

We are friendly coming from different backgrounds and cultures, collaborating, and learning together to achieve the common goal of the Association.
